Council Membership
Membership
The Lake County Care Planning Council is comprised of a large group of diverse individuals, organizations and agencies who are passionate about ensuring the highest quality of care and education for the children of Lake County.
The Voting Membership Committee is made up as follows:
20% Consumers
20% Child Care Providers
20% Public Agency Representatives
20% Community Representatives
20% Discretionary Members
Voting Committee members are appointed by the County Superintendent of Schools and the Lake County Board of Supervisors. Every effort is made to reflect the racial, ethnic and geographic population of Lake County.
General Council membership is open to anyone in the community who is supportive and works for the betterment of child care in Lake County.
Authority
The Board of Supervisors and the Superintendent of Schools appoint members of the Child Care Planning Council, estabilsh the terms of appointment, and review and approve needs assessments and local funding priorities. The Superintendent of Schools has the responsibility as fiscal agent for funds received on behalf of the Local Planning Council.
